Previously, Red Snapper fishing has remained closed since 2014 with the exception of an interim season last November that consisted of two consecutive weekends totally 6 days - November 3rd, 4th and 5th and November 10th, 11th and 12th. Red Snapper fishing has been closed based on estimates that the mortality of fish released exceeded the annual catch limit. It's important to be away when you're fishing during this Red Snapper season. After your boat has caught your limit on Red Snapper, it's important to move away from the area where Red Snapper may remain.
