Late Summer Fishing On The Crystal Coast

Captain Chris Kimrey - Friday, August 17, 2018

Happy Friday! Today kicks off the last three days of the six-day Limited Recreational and Commercial Red Snapper season in South Atlantic federal waters. We had some awesome luck last weekend catching some good sized snapper and we're ready to do the same this weekend! Aside from snapper fishing, we've been spending some time in the Neuse River fishing for drum and even some time out in the ocean with fairly calm waters.

The past week has provided some beautiful days with slick cam waters, which has been a great change from the endless rain, wind and storms we've had here in eastern North Carolina. The weather has cooperated and allowed us to head out into the ocean for a couple of trips, doing some bottom fishing and catching triggerfish, beliners, tilefish, bass, gruntfish and more!

Soon, the weather and water will start cooling down and there will be less boat traffic out on the water. We encourage you to go ahead and book your early fall fishing trip with us! Although summer will be coming to an end, the fishing will not. Fall fishing here on the Crystal Coast out of Atlantic Beach is nothing short of fun and a good time. No matter if you've got years of fishing experience or have never been on a boat before, Capt. Chris will teach and show you what you need to know to catch fish. Give us a call today to learn more or click here to book your trip online. We look forward to putting you on the fish and showing you a good time out on the water.
